We all suspected it, but now it is confirmed: someone very, very close to the 3G iPhone launch has told me that Apple will announce their new model at the WWDC Keynote on June 9th. The second-generation iPhone will be available worldwide right after the launch, and not at year's end, as previously thought. The new model will also herald new sales policies in some countries.
So if the 99.99999% chance that it was happening wasn't enough for you, here you go.
Well I do somewhat remember making that exact same posting about a month ago when I saw this come out....
And as a backup, then no later then Tuesday as that is the normal day... I still wonder if they are going to do any MacBook Pro changes, I have heard rumors of a case change also around June, so I am still holding out.

"somebody very, very close to Apple" once told me to never trust rumors from people "very, very close to Apple." Sometimes they turn out to the be true (lucky guesses?), but usually they are wrong.
Here's a list of the top ten Apple rumors of all time, with a score card as to which ones turned out true.
True. I would have discounted it myself, except that all the signs point to something like this.
That was an interesting list, for some reason I guess I missed the Nintendo rumor..
No surprise here. Everyone is expecting this anyway.
